Lacoste is a sportswear brand for men, women and children, founded in 1933 by the French tennis champion, René Lacoste, and the owner of the largest French knitwear company, André Gillier.

The designer became famous throughout the world for having revolutionized men's fashion, replacing the classic long-sleeved shirt in rigid fabric on the tennis courts with the famous "polo" in cotton, comfortable and breathable.
